Minority Care International is governed by a board of directors responsible for its vision, policy, accountability, and programs supporting Minority Care International’s mission and goals. In addition, the board assists in promoting the organization and in soliciting donor support. The board members volunteer because of their commitment to serving others.
Mr. Harris is the founder, president, and CEO of the Truitt Group, Inc. as well as the Executive Director of the Association of Certified Leadership Professionals. He frequently publishes and speaks on a variety of subjects. With over 30 years of responsible and challenging leadership and project management experience, Kenn Harris, a retired Army Colonel, developed the skills and abilities to lead and motivate diverse groups under adverse and time-sensitive conditions. A former professor of Military Science at William and Mary University, he is trained and experienced as an engineer, project manager, trainer and strategic planner. He received his BS in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, his MA in Public Administration from Central Michigan University, and three additional years of post-graduate and advanced leadership training and education.
Tom Shirey is cofounder of and principal in Consolidated Financial Resourse, an organization arranging financing for local governments, particularly cities and counties, in such enterprises as schools, hospitals, fire stations, and jails. He serves on the board of Hope Center, an initiative to provide educational opportunities for the underprivileged, both youth and adults. Mr. Shirey graduated from Texas A&M, Commerce, and is also a gifted musician, establishing, sponsoring, and directing the eclectic band Cyan.
Dr. Kyle Wilkison is Professor of History at Collin College, Plano Texas. In addition to serving to the board of Minority Care International, Dr.Wilkison also serves to boards of the Texas Oral History Association and the Heritage farmsteadMuseum. Other professional affiliations include memberships in the society for Historians of the Golden age and progressive Era, the Southern Historical Association and the American Cotton Museum Association. Brent Money is a partner at the law firm of Scott, Money & Ray, pllc in, Texas . He currently serves as the City Attorney for the City of Greenville, Texas and Union Valley , Texas . He also represents many prominent local businesses and individuals in a variety of litigation, corporate, and real estate matters.
He earned his Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2006, where he served as an Articles Editor on the computer Law Review and Technology Journal. Prior to law school, Brent taught high school biology, physics and chemistry for two years while also coaching both Technical and Performance teams for Destination Imagination, an international creative problem solving competition.
His wife, Heidi, works as a registered nurse at Presbyterian Hospital .
