Alimodin and his family had faced a couple of disasters namely fire and tidal wave that affected their family and their economic status in life. At a young age, he learns the value of hard work from jobs of selling small items and as a dispatcher at public terminal. Ali finds inspiration from his older sister who is in her masteral studies despite financial difficulties his family experiences. With the help of MCI, Ali is "thankful for MCI on helping him to finish his studies and have a better life in the future." Alimodin is in his freshman year studying Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at Holy Cross of Davao College.

Norhani or "Lalie" to her friends had found it difficult to sustain her studies because of financial problems. She longs to become a teacher and teach young minds the difference between right and wrong and the importance of education. She is very grateful to be part of MCI as it helps her reach her dream to finish her studies. "I'm lucky that I'm part of MCI because I know there are other youth who wants to pursue their studies. Because of MCI, I learned a lot and realize life isn't easy." Lalie is taking up Bachelor of Science in Education major in History at University of Mindanao.

May comes from a big family that teaches her to be independent and hardworking. She juggles her time between working part time and school. "I'm thankful to be part of MCI and given opportunities which not everyone has. I hope to finish college and pursue my dream to become a Certified Public Accountant someday with the help of MCI." May is currently taking up Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at University of Mindanao.

Zhainal is the youngest scholar of MCI and the younger brother of Sarah Sultan. He is an incoming freshman high school at Davao City National High School.
