DAVAO CITY - Minority Care International (MCI) celebrated its 3rd Annual Family Night. The president of MCI, Dr. Aland Mizell, welcomed and updated the families about MCI's ongoing projects and new initiatives.

Dr. Mizell shared that one of the components of community-building involves the parents of the scholars, "MCI is also about building community. A community also involves the families. You are part of the MCI family since your children are a part of it. I always encourage the students to please take this advantage of this opportunity. If they miss this opportunity, then there's no way to have that same opportunity again."

The families were encouraged to be involved in the program of MCI. Dr. Mizell believes that both parents and MCI invest in the lives of the students. Therefore, it is important that MCI strengthens its relationship with families as part of the community-building process. One of the goals of MCI is to develop civic responsibility in its scholars, so that they will become leaders who are committed to serving their families, communities, and nation.
