As part of the recently concluded forum held at University of Mindanao (UM), Minority Care International (MCI) and the Texas A & M University - Commerce sealed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) to engage in a cross cultural exchange studies signed by UM President Guillermo P Torres, JR. ED. D. and Dr. Aland Mizell, Ph.D.
MCI Internship program is designed to supplement the student's theoretical knowledge with a practical work experience, to integrate the theory from the academic courses determined by the student and nursing faculty with the practice during the internship. MCI seeks to provide opportunities to develop critical thinking, problem solving skills by being engaged in real life work situations. The students undergoing the said programs are expected to develop skills and an understanding of the work place to assist in the transition from the academia to work institutions after graduation, as well as to broaden the their experience by exposure to work experience in another culture.
The agreement was witnessed by UM VP Maria Julieta R. Torres and Dee W. Hilton.
