A special three-day retreat was given to selected members of Minority Care International at Loleng's Mountain Resort in Toril, Davao City, Philippines. This gathering enables students to gain experiences and training in leadership, camaraderie, and faith. Several guests from Texas generously share their time and resources as retreat facilitators much to the delight of the members.

The summer retreat provides a relaxing and quiet time to its participants on activities such as talks, sharing, reflecting, food, fun, and fellowship. The students had the opportunity to reflect upon their faith and relationship with others amidst the beauty of nature. The members and guests wearing their green uniform displayed the theme for this year's retreat "Semper fidelis." The theme enables members to reflect on the importance of faith and loyalty.

Retreatants begin to build a community of acceptance and unity, which they bring back to school and to future retreats.
